We like our site, but we like lots of others too. In this area we recommend a variety of sites which we like. We also like to include anything that's new and worth a browse. The latest and best sites are listed below or choose a category from above.

Latest Sites
Channel 4OD free TV on your computer 4OD: Channel 4's on demand service has taken what's good about the BBC's iPlayer and really improved on it. You'll find all the recent C4's programs but you can also pre-book next weeks shows as well as download films and other paid content. Between 4OD and BBC iPlayer you might find less time for the TV.

Joost is a program which you download and then use it to watch TV online. There's masses of channels with a wide variety of content and after ages as a invite only beta the site works really well.
ThinkUKnow is an important site that should be visted by all teenagers who use the internet. It explains how to stay safe on the net, what the dangers are and what to do if you have problems. Parents worried about internet saftey would also find the site useful, as well as the main CEOP site.

Windows Live local
I love Google Earth but the images in my area are pretty poor. Local Live's better for me and like Google it also provides details on local businesses and driving directions.

The Telephone Preference Service

(TPS) is a central opt out register whereby individuals can register their wish not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls. It is a legal requirement that companies do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS. If you get too many sales calls this stops them! There is also a postal one although not as effective.
